✧ About the Project
The Mythseeker is a contemporary fantasy epic told through illustrated novels and multimedia. It follows the journey of Shay, a kind-hearted trans boy raised in isolation who discovers that myths are real—and that he may be at the center of one. Blending Celtic mythology, cosmic horror, queer identity, and coming-of-age themes, the series explores what it means to belong when the world says you don’t.
☘️ Genre: Contemporary Fantasy, LGBTQ+, Slice-of-Life with dark mythological edges
💚 Audience: Teens & adults seeking stories of transformation, diversity, magic, and meaning
📗 Format: Illustrated novels with art, lore, and episodic storytelling
The Mythseeker is a work of fiction. While it may reference real historical events, cultural practices, or public figures for world-building purposes, all original characters, stories, and magical elements are products of the author’s imagination. Any resemblance to real individuals, living or dead, outside of acknowledged references, is entirely coincidental.
The Mythseeker is made by a human with a soul (unhinged, occasionally on fire). No generative AI art or writing was used in its making, nor does it belong in this story.
✧ About the AUTHOR
Susannah Grace Casey-Livengood
she/they; mythweaver, illustrator, chronic worldbuilder, mom friend, professional procrastinator
Sue is a storyteller with one foot in the hills of Appalachia and the other in the mythic realms of ink and stardust. By day, she wrangles timelines and tormented characters; by night, she communes with ghosts, angels, and emotionally unstable possums over tea.
Her work blends poetic fantasy with queer identity, cosmic horror, found family, and slow-burn redemption arcs. Stories for the haunted, the hopeful, and the too-much-for-this-world. If you seek mythology, unhinged chaos, and existential dread in equal measure, Sue has offerings.
An illustrator and concept artist currently based in Nashville, Tennessee, Sue focuses on character design, comics, and narrative illustration. Her creative work dates back to the 2000s, when her BIONICLE writings and art gained fan acclaim across the fan community.
From cyberpunk mysteries, adventures with talking Maine Coons, to Ireland’s mycorrhizal leylines, she’s been building worlds ever since, crafting what friends teasingly call the Sueniverse.
When not writing or drawing, she’s probably running her community (The Purple Note), overthinking cosmic metaphors, or hiking with a banshee. 🌿
